In 2008, Crystal opened a new chair—the Northway Chair, creating an additional 1000 new acres to explore. During the summer of 2008, the crews did more forest grooming, giving you more and more ways to enjoy the deep forested runs of the North Back. Winter - Cross Country Skiing The Upper White River Valley is criss-crossed with trails, Forest Service roads, open area and summer hiking areas that are perfect to glide across on your cross country skis. We will arrange skis for you and even send a personable mountain guide to your door step to escort you to the most perfect experience. Great cocoa also! Winter - Snowshoeing Looking for a quieter experience than a resort ski slope? Don your snowshoes - the area is criss-crossed with Forest Service roads, open area and flat beginner trails. Love to give it a try but unsure of where to go? Our alpinemountain guides are always ready to tailor an adventure for you or your group; taking world class photos along the way. There may even be a cup of hot cocoa at the trail’s end. Then back to your Inn for a relaxing evening by the fireplace. Winter - Snowmobiling This season we are going to have snowmobile trips for your added adventure. We will arrange a tour through some of Washington States' finest groomed snowmobile trails. Imagine being up in the pristine, winter wilderness, without the buzz of automobiles, and views you will never forget. Winter - Sledding and Tubing Being kids at heart, we know all the great sledding spots. Crystal Mountain does not allow sledding on their property, but that doesn't stop us fron searching out and guiding you to the perfect spots.
